Information on the use of your personal data
In accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we inform you that the personal information collected on the registration forms on the website is stored in an automated file by Médecins du Monde.
This information is intended for the Communication and Fundraising Department and third parties commissioned by Médecins du Monde.
It is necessary for managing your donations, responding to your requests, sending you communications, in particular via our association’s newsletter, and keeping you informed of our activities.
Médecins du Monde undertakes not to transfer your data outside Switzerland and the European Union and does not exchange personal data with third-party partners in the non-profit sector.
Mandatory information is indicated in the forms by an asterisk and, if this information is not provided, we may be unable to respond to your request.
Your personal information is kept for a period strictly limited to the fulfilment of the aforementioned purposes.
Information on the legal basis for the collection of your data
The collection of your data is based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Your rights
In addition to the right to withdraw your consent at any time, you have the following rights, within the limits and conditions set by data protection regulations:
- the right to access your data,
- the right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data,
- the right to request the erasure of your data,
- the right to restrict the processing of your data (if you contest the accuracy of the data collected, you may request that its use be suspended while we process your request),

Online donations
Payment data transfers are encrypted. Médecins du Monde Suisse does not store any credit card details. Payment data is transferred directly via external partners certified by the credit card industry (PCI DSS). Médecins du Monde Switzerland’s service providers are only permitted to use the information for the sole purpose of carrying out their mandates. They are required to comply with Swiss data protection regulations. Médecins du Monde Switzerland uses the tool developed by Raisenow to process donations securely.
Cookies
Use of cookies
The medecinsdumonde.ch website uses ‘cookies’, which are small files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, etc.). These files are automatically sent back during subsequent visits.
They have multiple uses and can, for example, be used to remember the display language of the page, an identifier to track your browsing for statistical or advertising purposes, etc. Some of these uses are strictly necessary for the functionality of the website.
Médecins du Monde uses the Usercentrics Consent Management Platform.

Médecins du Monde uses Google Analytics, a website analysis service that allows us to understand how you use Médecins du Monde websites: sites visited, frequency of visits, duration of visits, searches performed, browsers used, service provider, location linked to IP address (allowing you to be identified on the internet).
WordPress CMS element
Our website uses WordPress software, which places two cookies by default to ensure it functions properly:
