Maison de Santé | Health Center

Project overview

The Maison de Santé health center is located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It provides consultations with a nurse for individuals in vulnerable situations, asylum seekers, and persons without legal status in the canton of Neuchâtel.

Confidential and free of charge

The purpose of the Maison de Santé health center is to facilitate access to care for undocumented and vulnerable people. The facility was created following reflection work carried out in 2015 by the public health and migration services of the canton of Neuchâtel and Médecins du Monde Switzerland. The project improves care conditions and strengthens prevention actions for the users of the center.

Networking

Médecins du Monde has worked for several years with the networks of associations and local authorities that serve the target populations. This has enabled us to adapt the structure and organization of the Maison de Santé health center to the real needs of the users. Operational management is provided by Médecins du Monde nurses and a network of volunteer receptionists.
